Whine at WOT video

I was just youtubeing (if that is a word) for the last hour, watching 6.0 videos and none of them have the same whine at WOT like mine has, here is a video from earlier today. And while you guys are looking, what is that shift about 60-65? The converter locking up? Kind of weird all other shifts are at 3500 and that drops down to 2800. Anyways thanks for watching.

Does it only make the noise under WOT or is it there during any type of acceleration, just not as loud? Does it sound like a gear whine?

Just at WOT its noticeable. Yeah I would say it sounds like a gear whine.

Cool vid - you didn't hit the 100 mark and you were getting there WAY too slow.
Sorry I'm not a Tech but I'm sure one will chime in soon. Are you tuned at all or stock?

All stock, just a cat and muffler delete

I see the late shift but I'm old I guess and don't hear the whine. Let me check it a few more times.
Oh and for what it's worth custom tuning can help with the shifting - and you getting to 100 faster.

You won't want to hear this but mine started out the same and it made that same noise for over 2 years. Started getting worse and worse and would do it on any type of acceleration. Also started getting delayed engagement into reverse. Eventually lost 2nd and 5th gear. Found the planetary gear failed and caused the issue.

I was hoping someone would say that whine is completely normal. Well I'm sure a flush and good fresh fluid couldn't hurt anything. Should I move the 08 pan/filter/solenoid mod up to the top of my list and flush with some good fluid? Or should I just let it ride and see what happens?

If that is indeed your problem, neither one will help. The damage is already done.

How can I know for sure what the problem is? Take it to a transmission shop?
