That was the longest sentence I've ever read in my life

I've checked out exactly what you're considering. I recall it being a pretty expensive deal. That said, if I ever thought I thought I was gonna keep my truck forever I would definitely consider it.

Do your home work, work up an estimate, then double it for all the odd ball items you missed in the estimate. If the number you just came up with makes sense then go for it. This will be the kind of truck that you have to drive your money out of, I'm afraid you would lose money if you were to sell it. I'm in a similar money losing situation on a Jeep that I swapped from 4 to 6 cylinders. It looks factory but nobody cares but me. I'm not trying to shoot you down, just offering a point of view. I love the sound of a Cummins.

Depending on how much the donor motor costs you will be between 10-15k once all said and done

I think it is a good swap and am considering doing it myself..It is pretty expensive though. You can call Destroked or AutoWorld for information. I just found a local shop here that will do it but I am waiting on getting a price tomorrow.
