Flushed my coolant system and now going to shop
Well I rolled the dice with a 10 degree +/- delta and now have a 15. The local Ford shop is going to replace the oil cooler and my mechanic said if there happened to be an EGR delete in the front seat then it would somehow find its way in also.

If he is that way, I would prolly tell him if it somehow needed headgaskets, some arp studs will be laying on the front seat next to that couple hundred dollar bills.

Does the cab come off for the oil cooler replacement? If so then I am sure he would do it.
What EGR delete kit are most running? It seems there are several to choose from with different price points. Thanks. |

A lot of folks run the bullet proof diesel stuff, a lot also run the sinister kit, and river city diesel. I got mine new off Craigslist for 100 bucks, I think its made by da performance but 6 to 1 half dozen to the other. It's just like the sinister kit...guy bought it and then sold the truck, just wanted to get rid of it. Is also switch to elc if you havent, and look at a coolant filter, at 129 bucks, they're cheap insurance. Diesel site, dfuser, and sinister seem to be popular choices for filter kits. A lot of guys also make their own to save some money, I ordered mine during sinisters thanksgiving sale so it was 10% off and free shipping, just over 100 to my door. Cheap insurance. Good luck.

if the oil cooler is going he can easily say it need head gaskets, mechanics dont even have to get approval anymore. they just do them and right now mechanics are slow so hes wanting hours im sure
