Sct question

I am getting ready to buy and sct finally and was wondering if there is a difference between the sf3 and the x3? Which one should I get and who should I get the tunes from I know Matt is at gearhead but I've heard about Vivian a lot too what company is she at?

I believe that the SF3 and the X3 are the same with the SF3 being the newest version. I may be wrong though as I am not a SCT rep. Lol. I have the SF3 with Innovativediesel.com tune, it is awesome, I am going to try Gear Head tunes very soon. There are some threads on here about the Looney tune from Vivian not shifting very good at all, then there are some that praise that tune. I am probably going to stay away from them. I think they closed up shop anyway.

The X3 will be used by companies that offer custom tunes. The X3 is basically a blank tuner(no tunes) until a custom tuning manufacturer installs the tunes into the tuner. The SF3 is the same unit but preloaded with 5 canned tunes from SCT. 3 tow tunes, Street and Performance. In my opinion the SCT tunes are great, but a lot of guys dont like the idea of canned tunes. So the SF3 not only has 5 preprogramed tunes but also has the capability of storing 3 custom tunes.

Awesome thanks for the quick responses! One more quick question I have an edge evolution right now when I get my sct if I keep my edge on the stock setting to still use the gauges until I get an insight will it conflict with the sct at all or will I be ok using the edge just for gauges?
