2006 F-250 Engine warranty question

I am currently looking into purchasing a 2006 Ford F-250 6.0 obviously. I was wondering if the engine had any type of warranty left seeing how they had lots of problems with the head studs and gaskets. Truck currently has 86k. And is bone stock. Any help would be greatful. Thanks.

Depends on the date that the original purchase was made. 5 years after the original purchase was made, all bets are off (or if the truck reaches 100K miles).

Most likely no at this point. Do what you need to do to adress the coolant etc (read up if you havent). More that likely if you take car of a few things you wont have any issues.

This site has lots of information-spend a few days reading up, and if you still have questions after that, feel free to ask away!

Agree with the above. It's the end of November, so you have no warranty unless the truck was purchased in December 2006. Even then, you only have about 30 days left. If I was in your shoes, I'd consider it as "out of warranty."
