hey guys i just got my truck back from having the ficm replaced and i was wondering if i should be concerned about putting my sct tune back on the truck because the ficm went bad within 100 miles of putting the tune on the first time?

thanks,

I wouldn't have any issues doing it if I was in your position. FICM failure is not caused by tunes. It is caused by the crappy solder (and not enough solder) that the manufacturer used.

Go ahead and tune it. Just coincidence your FICM fried as soon as you started using the tuner.

alright thanks guys thats kind of what i was thinking but now i want to make sure he didn't update the stradegy of the truck when he programmed it for the new ficm, I can't remember for sure what it was before but looking at it from a glance it doesn't look like the same and from my understanding if i put a tune on it that was for a different stradegy it would lock my truck. Thanks again fellas!
