Heated seat MOD question
Is there a way to make the heated seat stay on the high setting all the time? Normally it automatically fluctuates up and down with the heat.

I didn't know there was different settings?!? I thought it was just on or off and the heat output moderated by the tempurature sensor?!?

You probably could but I'd be worried about it overheating.

I'm going to sit back and see how this one goes. I hadn't heard this before.

It is an on and off switch. Once on, the settings will fluctuate.
I like the heat when I want it, but then the heat automatically adjusts to the lower settings, then I am left feeling unsatisfied

On the seat, I doubt it.
For me, If it gets too hot, I will just turn it off. But when ever I am wanting the heated seat, I have always wanted it to stay on the high setting. |

I am wondering if you don't have an issue? My seat gets and stays so hot my arse starts to sweat!
My only issue is that you can't tell if you accidentally clicked it on until it is actually hot (bad news on a 90o day). I just wish there was a dash indicator or even a different click for "on" than from "off." That button is hard to see rolling down the road! |

Well my heated seat stopped working completely. So since I am going to digg in the seat any way, I would like to modify the heat fluctuations.
Yea that also happens to me! haha!!! |

I put indicators near my cup holders in the center console.
This thread is what I used for the mod. Heated seat indicators - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums Even a thought about controlling the temps. |

Here is what I used for my lights:
"While I was screwing around, went ahead and installed LEDs for heated seats. Right where Benchwrench placed His. I did find some orange ones though. They also had Red and Green. These were found in the second drawer at Radio Shack part#276-0272. (these were a tad bigger, took a 9/32 pilot hole)" |
