Rough idle
On my 6.0 Excursion 2005 with 04 motor I have noticed latly that is is slow to start. Not a battery problem, it turns over good and fast. Normally it would start in a second ot two, now it is taking 5 or so seconds. Also it seams to do this after it has sat over night. When it starts it runs rough for 5 or so seconds, like it is starving for fuel. I have also noticed a fuel smell, I have checked for leaks, and not seen anything. Any ideas?

Your FICM is going bad or you have injector stiction would be the most likely. Check your FICM voltage when the truck is cold. Check while cranking and running. It should not drop below 46v. If it does you need to have it repaired. Swamps 58v FICM is a good replacement. If not the FICM try a 5w40 synthetic like Rotella T6 and throw in a couple bottles of Rev-X. That should help with the stiction.
