By the time you allocate funds for the gauges and necessary senders, and allocate the time for wiring and installation, you really are better off getting an OBD-II based monitor like an Edge CTS/CS. Units like this will display a great deal more information than merely the ECT and EOT data.
The general consensus on the board is to go with something OBD-II based in an effort to display as much information as is possible. |

Personally I wouldn't waste my time with manual gauges. Installing them isn't super easy. Unless you like the look of a bunch of gauges.
I'd recommend getting an edge insight CTS or CS. It plugs into your OBD 2 connector and allows you to see all the PIDs/data that the PCM is seeing. You can have up to 8 pids displayed so you can monitor all sorts of info. They have a pod that mounts it on the top left of your dash and it's out of the way of the windshield. You can use it to check codes, monitor FICM voltage, and a whole bunch more. You can even get an EGT probe and use it to monitor EGT temps. The whole setup with an EGT probe is going to run you around $450 though. Just my 2 cents. |

Or just get a Scangauge 2 from Autozone or elsewhere. It doesnt do egt's but does most other things such as ect and eot's. O yeah and its only $150.

I prefer analog gauges, but that could just be my age showing!LOL!!
You can even check out ScangaugeII for around $160, this will allow you to monitor way more than ECT/EOT. |

Ebay has had Scanguages for $115 shipped a couple weeks ago. Doesn't get much cheaper than that.
