for those of you with an ecm roll back

So if you have gotten your ecm rolled back, was it worth the money and what was your mpg improvement?

I'm very interested in this topic as well.
I am considering the ECM rollback and the FICM tuning.

don't the aftermarket tuning outfits offer the same tunes no matter what the factory flash version?

From what I've read, the ficm rollback is most critical.. There are some other ecm tunes that are better then others but I don't know why.. I too was under the impression that tuners could change whatever values they wanted.

The rollback for the ECM just rollsback the tuning to an earlier Ford flash. According to what I have read by Bill at PHP (Power Hungry Performance) the earlier Ford strategy that he rolls back to is a better programming platform on which to build the custom written tune, resulting in a better end result. The FICM tuning is basically the same concept, with some programming modifications. Having both is supposed to result in better power delivery and is easier on the FICM which could lengthen its overall lifetime and result in a gain of 2-3 MPG.
These are the reasons why I am contemplating getting it done.

I see tons of other folks are interested as well but I know theres got to be a lot of folks that have had this done lol. Trying to see if its worth waiting a few months for or having the truck down for a week.
