Thoughts on shackle leveling kit?
I just ordered a 2'' front shackle leveling kit from ebay. They are going on my stock 04' 6L with the factory 31.5'' tires. Is it going to make the front level with the rear now? And what are your opinions on shackle leveling kits? thanks

i have them, they are ok, makes the front end bouncy. Will be going with leaf springs and stock shackles.

Shackles shouldnt make the truck bouncy.... they re use all of your factory springs, try shocks. Ive got a shackle kit in my 00' and am very happy with it. Probly be looking for some 33's or 35's shortly.

i got them on my truck and i think they make it ride better. im running 315-75-16s. there is a site called customdiesel.com that sales a kit that goes under ur front leaf pack

Depending on the amount of lift you want the best riding kits will be either hanger kits or a mini spring pack..limited to 2.5"
Hangers for a level kit 2-3" Mini spring packs can reuse stock length shocks, hangers need longer. Both kits require a adj track bar to recenter your axle. We have all, PM if we can help. |

I just went with a mini spring pack off ebay and works great I think. I extended my track bar because people said that I needed too but know that I did that my steering is very loose and I have to over correct when driving. It was fine when I put it back on I should have just left it alone.

Well some ebay kits only replace the shackles and not the hangers but thats the wrong way to do it really.
You need a full shackle and hanger lift to maintain factory ride quality and geometry. |

for correct geometry either get the 2.5" spring pack or a 2.5" hanger/shackle combo kit...those can be had fro about 300 bucks+shipping.
