Project Parts list....?
I am getting ready to do the EGR delete since my EGR cooler is leaking and I am making a list of parts and wanted you guys to verify my parts list and let me know what else I will need.
I am getting: EGR delete kit Oil Cooler(might as well while I am in there) Intake gaskets Turbo Mounting Bolts New Turbo oil supply line New Turbo oil drain line What else will I need to get? Also will my brother and I who have mechanic experience be able to do it on a weekend? Thanks, Also I have looked at a lot of threads on the forum and I have gotten a lot of good information and suggestions, but is there an actual step by step of instructions for doing all that work and maybe a list of all the tools needed to make sure I have them all on hand. Thanks for the help, Will |

There is a step-by-step. Check my signature line. (it will also address your parts questions) Have you thought about flushing the cooling system previous to your repair? Its a good idea and could lengthen the lifetime of your new oil cooler. There is another link in my signature line for that. Disregard the 'reverse flushing' chapter, as performing that type of a flush will not help you in your situation. |

NYC F-350 thanks for the help, I had actually used the information in your signature for the parts list and getting started, I also saw the info on the pdf's you had and was just wondering if someone had written a step by step for doing both. I am sure my brother and I could figure it out, I just work better if I know step by step and I would feel more confident. Thank you again for the help I really appreciate it.

If you have read that post and keep all that info in your head, and use the PDF files in the order in which they are posted, you will have no trouble.

There is the complete package here for $559. It would cover most of what you are looking for.

Ahhh, grasshopper still has much to learn.....
Check Tousley Ford for the oil cooler ($213.54), the intake gaskets ($.905 each x 2) the turbo mounting hardware kit ($7.44). Then for an egr delete kit for $135, click here Beats that "kit" every time. Keep in mind that ANY kit you find anywhere will cost you more to purchase than the sum of its parts...... |

Just letting you know-- Tousley is out of oil cooler kits. They're on back order for an undetermined amount of time. They told me last Friday they had 60-65 of them on order with no idea when they would have any available in stock. I ended up ordering one from PMM for $309.00. It's a little more expensive, but if you check around online, there are alot of places that have them out of stock. Figured I'd grab one while it was still available!

NYC F-350 thanks for the help, I have printed off all your information and pdf's and have them ready for the project. That EGR delete kit that you posted in your link, is that a good reliable kit? It says lifetime warranty, but it doesnt saw who covers the warranty. Thanks again for the help.
