Which scan tool to use for IPR commands?
I have an SCT SF3 flash tuner that I also can use to scan for trouble codes on my 05 6.0. I was wondering if I can command my IPR valve open and closed with the SCT? Maybe I'm not seeing it on my SCT.

The answer is no you can't command the IPR with the SCT. The code reading capability on the SCT isn't that good either.
If you want a good scan tool at a reasonable price, check out Autoenginuity. |

Hey do you just need the Autoenginuity scan tool or do I need to get the enhanced ford expansion with it? The tool was about $250 and the ford expansion was like $200. Or you can get the ford scan tool bundle which are those two for $400. Any suggestions?

You'll need the enhanced version, the basic version just reads codes.
What your looking for is "Total Ford Bundle" #SP03 this will include the software and Proline connector to operate the enhanced ford specific sensors. Autoenginuity sells this for $399.99, but you can check out the vendors and find it a little cheaper. |

No problem. The Autoenginuity isn't that user friendly, there is a little bit of a learning curve, but the more you use, the easier it gets.
You can find info on how to use it on this site and other ford diesel forums, and if you still can't figure something out, you can always post a question up. Here is some tips and tricks, along with other links. AutoEnginuity Tips or Tricks |
