Brand new Pmax broken...??

So yesterday morning go to install my new powermax. Get it in start the truck up and go to the tailpipe to listen for that sweet whistle and noting.... Walk around to the engine and hear this tinging sound like metal bouncing or tapping something. Though oh great. Shut it off and and took the intake tube off and it would spin freely one way but snag going the other so I take EVERYTHING back out again and took the thing apart. So this being my first time seeing what makes these things work it was interesting but the surprise wasn't. Looks like one of the studs on the exhaust side housing that I assume holds the veins in place broke off. Just my luck. Anyone ever heard of this happening or know why this might happen? It must have broke when the truck started because after getting the turbo back out you can hear that vein moving around and from the way it looks if is was broken before it was install, or even installed wrong you would hear things moving around. Well I guess I get to call PTP on monday and see what my next step is.

those will break off but obviously it shouldn't on a new turbo

can your old turbine housing be swapped over just to make it work?

I thought about that, but the powermax is more of a 2003 model I thought and I dont know if the veins count is the same on the powermax and my 06, plus then I would only have 1 1/2 turbos and I would like 2 full ones just in case.
