Well just got the X3 on the truck ... About to start on the egr and coolant delete hope i can get it done in a few hours

If you are deleting the EGR cooler with an egr delete kit, you absolutely MUST know what the health of your oil cooler is BEFORE starting the job. The delete will only mask an underlying issue if you are not properly monitoring it, which will literally explode in your engine.
What is your ect/eot delta?

oh really i am new to the 6.0.. The place i bought the kit from had the combo together and told me it was 100% safe my truck will run so much smoother and nicer and will love me for it. And went on to tell me what it did with i knew kinda what it did. Then i read on here about all the people say do the egr delete and head studs and coolant delete so i got it never got that side of the story from company. Good way to make a sale. I got it all done yesterday about 7 hours havent got to run and try it yet. Anthing i can do to see if i just made a bomb out of my truck or catch it before

OK.... so i called the company and they said i bought a complete egr delete kit came with egr block off plate, j tube, and up pipe.... and i ok was it just a egr delete\

No he is right, deleting it is great and will elimiate 99% of potental problems (when combined with clean correct coolant). You just need to figure your oil cooler out before tearing into this. There is no reason to do it all twice. Gauges will tell all. Figure out what the delta between oil and coolant is then get into it. If it is higher than about 15* under normal driving conditions (when at operating temp) then you need to rebuild your oil cooler when you are in there. If not, go about it the way you had planned.
