whats it going to take???? 6.0 perfection???

I have a 2006 F-250 6.0 PS... I love this truck, but she has let me down a couple time... Besides the Maintance side of things < what shoould a guy do to make this truck bullet proof, and is it worth it with the truck having 95K on the clock, I have not owned since new but well over half those miles, I have replaced, all 8 injectors, HPFP, had turbo off and cleaned, front ball joints, steering gear box, and brakes....I am willing to spend the money to make it the perfect truck< i just dont want to spend the money and have issues and regret not trading it off, I want a chip, but I am not looking for crazy power< just Relliability!!! for many year to come.... tell me what you think and what could happen after upgrades, thanks

Send a message via AIM to Galaxie
1. EGR cooler gone
2. Oil cooler replace (if delta is over 15*)
3. Ford Gold coolant gone do a flush and get ELC
4. Coolant Filter

For a "chip" just go with an SCTx3 with a good tuner building you the tunes.

People will say you need studs..... Address above. With stock injectors and turbo you are fine.

Nothing is "bulletproof", it's a machine, parts do break or wear out. Your not gonna get away with not having to fix/repair parts ball joints, rotors, pads, alternators, ect, ect. This is true for any car/truck.

The best "bulletproofing" is preventive maintenance.

Preventive maintenance is your wallet's best friend. I have several buddies with all different kinds of diesel motors that have well over 200K. Still running strong...That's why diesel's hold value so well. You take care of it, it will take care of you.
