2006 f250 factory fog lights

i started to replace my stock foglights, one was broken when i hit a deer,btw deer lived!!,, as i put the new pair in they didnt fit or look right, my question, would someone be so kind as to look at your foglights and tell me if the side that is cut out on the lower portion goes towards the inside or the outside, hope i explained well enough,,,tia michael
