A qt for the tank is about perfect.

Yes add it as needed. At most every fill up....generally every other fill up. Post up your results.

That's overkill. 200:1 is the ratio tested in the lubricity study. 16oz is perfect for a short bed 20oz for a long bed.

Forgot about the lil guys. Was thinking 38 gal. And at that point, the extra 10 oz would go in!

Hey PGreenSVT I thought i remember hearing that the 2 stroke should be 1 oz. per gallon of fuel. Is that just a waste of money or could that much 2 stroke oil hurt the injectors?

I base my answer on the lubricity test that used a ratio of 200:1 when testing 2 stroke oil. Based on that 200:1 ratio 28 gals of fuel = 18oz of 2 stroke. Will adding 1qt per tank hurt your injectors, no. But 1qt will really handle 2 tanks of fuel for most.

When I add 2 stroke I use 20oz for my long bed (38 gal tank). I take a gallon of 2 stroke and transfer it into 20oz coke bottles that I keep in a box in my truck. Makes it real simple when fueling up just to grab a bottle and dump it in.

I am currently using XDP's additive though and not 2 stroke oil.

Hey Mitch - How do you like XDP (not to be confused with XPD)?
