SCT Live wire or Edge CTS + SCT programmer

Im in the market for a monitoring system and a programmer. Will the SCT livewire suffice for both, or will i be better of with and edge insight + an sct programmer?

Your better off with the SCT X-3 and the Edge Insight CS/CTS for the monitor. The Insight will monitor, way more that the Livewire.

If that's outta your price range, then go with the SCT X-3 and ScangaugeII, throw in a EGT gauge and fuel psi gauge.

Check out Stealth Diesel, they have package deals that also include custom tunes with the price.

What's the difference between the Edge CS and CTS? Is it just that the CTS will accommodate a back-up camera?
What all will the Edge product monitor on a 6.0?

Cs Is smaller and is only a color screen. Cts is color touch screen and like you said can accept a backup camera.

I just got the cts last week and it'll do all kinds of stuff and you can add egt probe like I did as well as fuel pressure and turbo timer.

I have used both and I prefer the CTS because of the screen size and touch screen. Trust me you will be happier with the CTS and the SCT for tuning!

I already run the SCT with custom tunes and am interested in monitoring the coolant and oil temps and fuel pressure. Will the Edge do this out of the box or do I have to add probes?
I understand monitoring exhaust temp requires adding a probe. Where is the best place to put it?
