Steering box is loose

I just swapped my fuel pressure regulator spring for the blue one and decided I would look and see why my steering is loose. So as I am pulling around on all of the steering components I grab the idler (the one from the steering arm to the passenger side) and noticed the sector shaft moves around in the steering box housing.

Question is, is this something that is covered under warranty or should I just do the work myself. I know Chevys have a bearing that you can adjust on the steering arm side but I don't know about Fords. It is not leaking fluid or anything but the preload on the arm seems odd.

My steering wheel also has a gangsta lean to the left when I am driving straight that I need to figure out also.

Thanks for any advice

Dik
