What is this plug for?

Well last week my truck would not start. narrowed it down to my air filter being clogged. DOH.. any ways changing out the filter I found this plug was not plugged into anything what is it suppose to be for? first pic is a close up of it. its right below the air filter.



Never mind the male plug that is to the MAS. The one im looking at is where the hot spot of the light is at.

Cant see it good, but is it for the air filter change indicator? or whatever its called

No, it was unplugged before I started and its about 12 inch or so below the air filter and lower than the headlight. I couldn't find a plug in the area that would even plug into it.

Nahh, it can't be the filter minder plug. Wrong location.
I was thinking that maybe he doesn't have foglights and maybe that was a plug for that? You can tell there hasn't been anything plugged into that for a long time, judging by the gunk on it. So, it isn't anything that he missed this time working in that area.

Ah that might be it, my truck does not have fog lights.
