Boost & Buzzing Noise

I have an 06 Powerstroke that when the boost is at 10+ I get a buzzing noise that sounds like it's coming from the glove box. I only hear it say when taking off from a stop under hard accel. or power-braked to build the boost up. Truck has ARP head studs, egr delete, Black Onyx head and exh. manifold gaskets. Any ideas as to what it could be?

I had something similar happen to me. Yours could be different but it turned out that my (aftermarket) exhaust pipe was just close enough to the chassis that it would vibrate enough, around the same conditions you describe, to touch and cause a buzzing noise. It might be worth getting a flashlight and checking your pipes for rub marks. Mine was bumping behind the axle and it sounded like it was coming from the lower firewall or tranny. I just loosened the back clamp and tweeked it - easy. I hope you find it, that’s really annoying.

I'll check that out. I haven't check for an exhaust/manifold gasket leak yet either, so I'll have to do both this week. You're right it is annoying, mainly b/c I wonder if it's something costly like torque convertor shutter (don't know what that sounds like) or something. Thanks again.
