2005 Horn blows, blows and will not stop

The horn on my 2005 took on a mind of its own and started honking at things i was not even mad it. I had to pull the fuse to shut it off. I have messed with it and yet it still blows when i put the fuse back in. Yesterday i removed the center section and took the cover off. I assume the thin pad under the cover is the horn? I was hoping to find a broken piece upon removal but was surprised when i got in there. Anyone else have this problem or what areas do i need to look and how do i check out the parts? Thanks

sounds like the relay might have gone bad. It is under the hood in the relay box. Change that puppy and you should be ok. If not, then you have a grounding issue between the steering wheel and that relay. When you press the horn, it grounds the circut and triggers that relay, so it could be in the steering wheel itself. I thought checking the horn relay would be a simple chore, except i can not find it. The owners manual does not show a horn relay or i overlooked it. Is it labeled as a horn relay? 2005 6.0

Ok, I found where the relay is but it looks like it is not replaceable. It is probably soldered to the main fuse panel under the dashboard. I can hear it "clicking" but it is internal to the fuse panel (no, none of the relays there are the horn relay.) So, that leads me to believe that the circut is grounded somewhere between the steering wheel and the fuse panel. It might possibly be a bad switch in the steeing wheel. Now I know you pulled the cover off, but with the cover off, you don't really have a great chance of diagnosing it. It's just one metal surface touching another metal surface. You would probably have to remove the airbag in order to really know, but I've never done that on a superduty. It might be something you wanna take to Ford, this way if they pop that sucker, they replace it.

I appreciate your help, i guess it is going to the shop. I have changed injectors, sct fittings, delete kits, valve springs, turbos, trannies and i can not fix a horn.lol That just blows.
