pulling cab have some questions
Ok i have a lift lined up. Iam pretty good at working on stuff me and buddy built a 1000hp cummins form the ground up in 2 months. So could someone tell me what all it takes to get to the heads to do studs and what not. Any info would be much appricated or if you could send me in the right direction for help. I would really like to do this myself to save some money. Do you think this would be possible in one weekend? Like Friday to Sunday night.

Hey bud... look at the upper left portion of the browser window, right under the 'POWERSTROKE.ORG" title where you see the "Google Custom Search" box. This is the best way to find threads on this site and this topic has been discussed literally hundreds of times. That plus there really is no way of quickly explaining how to do a head stud job which is why no one has replied as of yet.
To answer your question, yes. If you have a lift and know what you're doing, you should be able to replace the head studs in one weekend. As mentioned, do a search and you'll find A LOT (I just verified it myself) of info on pulling the heads and installing ARP's. Good luck man. |
