Coolant temp ?

Around town, my coolant never breaks 190.. Hangs around 187.. I just replace my t- stat when I did my flush 2 months ago.. That what everyone else is seeing? My oil hangs pretty close, nothing higher than 195.. Hope I got the right t stat is my only concern

If I'm puttering around town....mine will take awhile for it to rise to 190* but usually stays at 190* to 192*. 187* may be a tad low....but I don't think it's total cause for concern/alarm. The thermostats are set to start open around 190 with fully open around 212* I believe.

My in town is usually short 10min trips so it could be just not enough time to heat up.. I bought a motorcraft t stat from ford

Mine usally hangs between 200 and 202 in this Texas summer 110*+ outdoor temp. During the winter when it was cooler I was closer to 192ish. It doesn't sound too low tom me, if the ambient temp isn't too high.

In smog filled southern Cali it rarely breaks 70.. Thanks for the input
