Rear Main Seal fixed under warranty...sigh
Got my truck back from dealer, rear main went out at 83k miles, stock tuning, always maintnanced etc. Thought it was the bed plate(thank heavens no). No mention of the coolant filter or elc coolant(my bad pcgreentsvt
) let's see if it'll hold up. |

I've had my rear main seal replaced 3 times by Ford during the first 50k miles of the trucks life (I have 54k on it now). Between those times, the engine was removed once to have the bed plate resealed. The final time, they determined that the rear seal plate was warped and since that was replaced, I've been good ever since ---- knock on wood. Fortunately, all of this was done under warranty.
