warranty date question

I am looking at a 2007 F250 with a warranty date on the oasis report of Aug-6-2006. The dealer told me the warranty was good for basically 13 months or until Aug-6-2012 but my math says 60 months is up on Aug-6 this year.

Am I missing something?

This is a great site - I have learned quite a bit from reading your posts - thanks for all the good info so far!

He's misstaken. Unless the dealer is adding another year to you warranty. 100,000 miles or 5 years to the date is FoMoCo warranty.

If the truck has less than 100K miles you can get the Ford ESP Diesel plan which covers 13 major components for up to 7 yrs and 200K, from the original in service date.

I cant speak to buying used, but i bought my 06 brand new, cheap as dirt because i bought it in Feb 07, they already had 08s on the lot and so i stole my 06. My point is, my warranty runs out 5 years after my "sold on" date. Feb 2012. know for fact, had two injectors done under warranty and verified my warranty expires in Feb 12. So by that math, maybe your truck was sold later and thus the warranty did not begin until? hope that helps?
