I just picked up one of these Portable Aluminum Work Platform. Thought it would make changing my FICM a little easier and I can always find some use around the house for something like this.
Mitch what is a topsider? |

Yeah I have something like that. With a lifted truck you can't do anything in the engine bay without it. I still want a topsider.

With the Sinister coolant filter, you have to take off the hoses and shut off valves and remove all of that black goop. If you don't, it WILL leak!!!! So just remove them and wrap some teflon tape on it, and put them back in.
Here is a pic of how i installed my filter. I drilled 2 small holes in the back of the fan shroud nameplate plastic to run 2 zipties to hold the hose taught in place so the "t" fitting doesn't rub the upper radiator hose. And it just looks better too! And rest assured that it does work. Third pic is after 500 miles, not much, but not good stuff in the coolant.
