Im considering selling a set of tires and wheels that are in my possession, I called ups freight and the quoted me $900 to ship from Kansas to west Virginia
Then quoted me $80 a piece to ship ups ground???
Where do I go to have them shipped cheaply???

That seems really high. Freight is the best way, get a pallet and load them on a pallet or two and secure them. You have to do all the work but if you drop them off at a freight location all they do is load them and send them. Its rough, but if you've secured them well nothing should happen. It also helps if the reciever has or knows of a business and has access to a loading dock. We do it all the time in the jeeping world with 35+ inch tires....

I heard freight was the cheapest... I don't know of any local bussiness's that I could ship from but they would be shipped to a commercial address, fourfun - how much does it usually cost you?

Strap them to a pallet real well and take them to a freight company. If you ship depot to depot and have them picked up there on the other end it is cheaper too.

Google is your friend.

I just shipped two doors for my 57 Fairlane via greyhound from AZ. $250 for two doors. I had to go to the station to pick them up. they way more than your wheels I bet!

R&L is cheap, but forward air will likely be cheapest (forwardair.com) You have to drop them off at the nearest terminal (one near every major International airport) and they will pallet/secure them for you. Then, you have to have them picked up at the nearest terminal. Also, greyhound ships as well (yes, the bus station!)
