I changed my coolant filter after about 5000 miles and look at what i found:

Is that muddy or more like jelly? That sorta looks like the white honey type stuff I got out when I did my flush. I assume silicate gel.

Holy hell. How many miles on the filter? I had a slight trace of that stuff in mine, but nowhere near anything like that. I had mostly sand.

Would the filter help the oil cooler any?

Its a good thing you dont have Gold coolant in your system. That could have been bad....

It won't fix anything, what's in your cooler is already there. But it will help keep crap out of there in the future...
