disappointing 1/4 mile time tonight:(
hi everyone! I ran my 6.0 with innovative tuning, powermax turbo, banks intercooler, and stage 3 snow water methanol (I have supporting fuel mods) on the track tonight. the best run I had was a 13.99 on the xtreme race tune launching with a scary 17psi (almost wheelhop). however I was running 14.4's on average. my question is, when I had stock everything (arp studs was my only mod), and strictly a innovative tune I ran a best time of 14.4! even with the same size tires that I ran with tonight! does this sound right anyone? could it be my stock transmission is what is holding the power back? any advice would be greatly appreciated

Did you have your tune updated for the powermax?

post the whole slip, 60', trap, et, 1/8 mile etc

Are you running traction bars? This will insure more power is making it to the ground than without.

the powermax tunes made a big diff on mine.

I did get new tunes, hope they updated it for the powermax, I didn't notice a lag very much, so I think they did update them, I told Ted that I had a powermax on the phone and he confirmed it when I ordered them. I am not running traction bars..I wasn't slipping because I was in 4WD..but I am new to this so could someone explain further? and the times

thats not a bad time with out injectors. The powermax doesn't add that much...I doubt you are over 450rwhp with your mods.
Put some 190s in there and you will be mid 13's

That's sounds about right to me. Your 60' sucks tho. Should be 1.7-1.8. My truck along time ago ran a 14.5 on stock turbo and 14.2 on powermax. Truck weighs 7900lbs
190s will put you in low low 13s I ran 13.1 @ 101 with 190s added to the mix. |

i just figured $3400 would do more..The only thing holding me back from injectors is that some people say they are unreliable, because I definitely don't want to tear into this, and have some go bad..I won't have the money or time to tear back into the heads and wait for new ones;once you do injectors, when do you have to start upgrading things like valvetrain/pushrods all that kind of stuff?? Are there a good set of reliable ones that will last? If not..looks like im done with motor work

I'm not a track rat, and can't with my big pig. But some say you get to a point on the track where knocking down .50 off your track times is pretty big and get incrementally more difficult. The fact that you shaved off that time with just a turbo without injectors sounds pretty good.
