tuners?
whats the best tuner for the 6.0? I"m lookin at a 04 and it has a superchip in it but the guy said he dide see any real gains from it... he has a river city egr delete on it and the tuner so he didnt use it. it has 105K on the truck...
I'm goin to look at the truck this friday so what are some things to look for on the 6.0? If all goes as planned and we work on a price I'm gonna get a cold air intake, and put a larger exhaust on it and then see what tuning can gain. my brother has a 05 duratrash and he has 4 inch exhaust and a cold air and get 26 high way not tuned... and i gotta say thats damn good. my 86 cummins swap gets rougly 20... but i've done a few things to it since then so it should have gone up. the guy that owns the truck said that he gets like 14 city and 16 17 on the highway... thanks for the help... |

SCT + Gearhead/Innovative/QuickTruicks Custom Tunes are the big 3 here....

If you've got an Xcal2 you can use it.
If you have to buy new get an x3. Lemme know if you need any help finding one |

You can try the SF3 it has preloaded tunes plus the space for 3 custom tunes.

You can get custom tunes for the x2 from the above mentioned tuners, as long as you returned whatever vehicle you were using it on before, they will email you the tunes

Definitely SCT. Cold air isn't gonna gain you anything. The stock filter is good to 500 horse. And did I forget to mention that gauges are the 1st priority for the 6.0! Check out the How to Bulletproof the 6.0 thread by Colo Dulley. Hope that helps.
