6.0L max temps

Can someone please post max temps for the 6.0L ?

I was towing this weekend and had EOT up in the 235* range.
Coolant temp was ranging from 200 to 215

Average delta was about 20 degrees.

Also threw a wrench light for over boost on long hills.

The truck will defuel once the oil reaches 253°F.

Your average delta points to a clogged oil cooler, and by default a clogged EGR cooler.

The code showed overboost?

A more than 15 degree delta when towing is normal

From what I understand the engine will defuel at 253 degrees. Those spreads while towing in my opinion are ok. That oil temp looks fine as well. The question is how does it act unloaded at 65mph? What are those temps? those are gonna be more applicable

Oh and the overboost probably from unison ring in turbo sticking... Running tunes or stock?

Stock tunes

Going in the shop in the next month for the oil cooler, EGR delete, coolant change trifecta

Also probably doing custom tunes and new exhaust.

Well then is the time to have the turbo pulled and cleaned. Prob has soot and rust buildup. Also I will throw a word of caution about tunes on stock trucks. Head Studs.... Head bolts from ford were inadequate for stock tunes much less performance tunes. Have seen it first hand. Some guys say they have no probs on stock head bolts...

Yep. Shop will pull and clean turbo. This was my first tow with the insight CTS so now I know the code it was throwing. It had done it before but the shop said they couldn't find the code!?!?
