Coolant Flushing

My dad just got a 05 6.0 with 40 thousand miles on it and I opened the degas tank and is full of crap. Fine sand particles and junk. Whats best to flush it. Use the stuff you get at ford and the restore. Or can I get by with just the stuff from ford and using something else?

Just use water out the tap, run it down the road at least a mile. Drain and flush till it's clean. Do the same with distilled water then add the coolant.
