Why is the OEM oil cooler different then the original?
I'm putting a EGR delete on the ol 6.0 today (well 2 days to be exact) and noticed the orignal oil cooler has about 40 small holes on the top. They don't go no where there more like dimples. the new OEM one I got is smooth. Everything else is the same like the size. just wondered why the change?

There is no difference inside the oil cooler. The casing changed a bit, no big deal.

Actually they added a row of coolant holes in the new oil coolers but had to maintain the dimensions for it to fit inside same space
