Most Turbo Whistle?????
I've watched 100's of turbo whistle vids on YouTube....
My question is how do I get the loudest sound I can get get? Exhaust-Straight pipes 5" to stacks or out the back(single, duals)? Tuner- manipulating the VGT?? and anything else I guess, defineitly saving for a Powermax but in the mean time I would like to have it set to scream...Any thoughts on this, whats worked for you?? Thanks |

5inch is not needed. 4 inch strait pipe is just fine and also the loud turbo whistle you hear is from an 03 turbo. the best thing you could do is get the exhaust and wait till you can get the powermax. tuning wont really help your turbo get louder. my truck is an early 04 with 03 motor and the turbo is extremely loud

I have a 4" straight pipe w/ a 7" tip, and it is extremely loud.
It's loud enough to where i get nervous driving by cops in town. I almost wish i had a different generation turbo to quiet it down a bit. |

I had full 4" straight pipe on my 2006 and it was loud. Stacks won't help and they will just push the sound up in the air more anyway. Start with full 4" exhaust straight, or if you don't want to spend that much just straight pipe the stock system. Then look at the turbo upgrade. I thought my 2006 was to loud straight piped, I could here it coming from blocks away.
