New 08-10 Style Fender Emblem Add-On's -- Opinions Please...

Hello,

First off, I am not a fan of add-on emblems and extra things put onto vehicles. I prefer to take things off, if anything. I removed the side molding and Powerstroke emblems off my truck just to clean things up.

With that said, I really, REALLY like the 08-10 fender emblems. I just couldn't bring myself to cut the fenders, so OEM was out. I hadn't found any aftermarket solutions that really did what I wanted-- because I wanted to keep an OEM style. I didn't want custom text or something that didn't look like it fit right.

After searching and searching, I found a company that makes add-on pieces like vents and wheelwell trim and stuff, which I would normally ignore, but this piece caught my eye. These pieces fit around the factory emblems and seem ok to me. They aren't the exact size of the OEM pieces, but they have similar style. I haven't seen any reviews or seen anyone else with these, so I had to give them a shot. They just came in today, and I'm not sure what I think of them yet, so I don't have them stuck on (double sided tape attachment).

I took a couple pictures with them hanging, let me know what you think...

Oh, and they are available with chrome or black mesh, and in a rounded style or sharp. This one is sharp style and chrome.

Cost was right at $40.

I'm just not a fan of adding things like that that really serve no purpose. They don't look terrible, but they just aren't to my taste.

definitely different. I think they look ok. Doesn't look like the typical stick on fender vents, which is good.

Not a fan either. Like they said they don't look ricer horrible, but i guess i don't understand why you'd take the smaller "powerstroke" emblem off the doors and add a bigger emblem to the fender? If it were me, shelve these emblems and put your powerstroke emblems back on the doors!

Saw a guy with a SuperDuty the other day with 3 Buick style fake vents on his front fenders. I almost hurled.

Thanks guys. I'm a little surprised nobody thought they looked good-- I was 50/50 on them, but that's why I posted them and took pictures before putting them on the truck.

I like the 08 emblems so much that I have been thinking of buying 08 fenders, cutting them, welding the 08 part on my 04, and repainting the fenders.
