TowBoss

Ok. I have heard the name TowBoss lately. So, I did I little research to see what it was. It sounds like it is a tow package that you could/can get for the truck witch also boosts your tow rating. With that being said, how do I find out if I have a TowBoss package on my truck? Is there a sticker i should be looking for?

Thanks

I own a 2007 F350 TowBoss, I don't have a sticker on mine. Check your axle code the 4.30LS should have axle code "4L", only the rear differential will be alluminum and finned. You'll have a 13k GVWR, and a 26K GCWR.

For the 6.0's it was available '05-'07, F350 Dually's only with the 5R110 Automatic (this package is the only reason my truck isn't a manual). Fuel milage is pretty low, but when you get on it the truck will flat move.

Where would I find the axle code? Ya it's a alluminum finned cover.

Axle code will be on your B-pillar, on the same sticker as your build date, axle ratings (rear should be 9K), and tire information. And I was surpized to see the finned diff cover when I picked my truck up, I hadn't seen that as part of the package in any of the brouchures.

Correction to axle code, the TowBoss code is "4L." I apologize for any confusion, I verified this on my truck this morning.
