idk if its what you are looking for, nor have i been there in a few years so idk what their inventory is, but there are two junk yards right by the intersection of rt 20 and bluff city blvd in elgin that you might try. Not too far of a drive. If i can, ill drive by after work tonight and see if i can identify anything, but if iirc they have high fences. good luck

I know here in PA, alot of the yards are on a network with each other. So if the local yard don't have what your looking for, they can usually get the part from one of the other yards that have the part.

From Ashton, IL here. Have you tried Rockford? They have a big one. B&H I think?

I'm not sure if you are allowed to walk the yard there. I think you tell them what you want, and they get it. And I'm not sure we are talking about the same place. If you are talking about the one you can see from RT. 20, that isn't a junk yard. It's an auction yard...they just have mostly junk. Haha. I will look up the address of the one I am talking about for you.

Here is the info on the place I am talking about. The reason I don't think we are speaking of the same place is that I don't think you can see in the yard from the road.

Rockford Auto Parts & Sales
923 Seminary Street, Rockford, IL 61104-4641
(which is a lovely part of Rockford...bring a friend)

(815) 964-3396

Rockfordautoparts.com

Hope this helps.
