Are the international filters cheaper than Ford? Seems most International parts are considerably cheaper that ford. Is it the same filter?

They are the same filters and much cheaper. Ford wants $100 for the filters. I got them from International for $43 back in February.

Motorcraft fuel filters are only $56 at Oreillys....

Or $49.99 at Advance Auto Parts...

$46 Canadian at diamond international, I got the service kit with both filter and water separator. Part #1847170C94
I stood the international oil filter up next to my fleetguard and they are identical in almost every way except where the pleats are joined to the end caps. |

The 1847170C93 part is the older part number (which many of us still use) - if the dealership no longer has any of these, the parts system will automatically reference the 1847170C94 part number. Either will work fine. Racor (Parker Hannefin) makes the filters for both Ford and International. Fram also now claims that their fuel filters are Racor filters.
Regarding the oil filter, I wouldn't want to risk ANY possibility of an inferior product (dimensions, glues, filter media, etc - they are all important). Last edited by bismic; 06-22-2011 at 01:43 AM. |

We need to compile a parts list of International part numbers and make it a sticky so everyone can see. This will save us ALL an TON of money in the end.. Who is a staff member that can do this??

I am pretty sure bismic if has all of the part #'s, we just need to get a mod to make it a sticky. I have all of the part #'s at home and on my old phone. I just forgot to put them into my new phone. I guess If we ask nicely he could post up a parts list and then we could ask a mod to make this thread ( or a new one) a sticky.
Thank you bismic for the part number it helped the parts man out lots. The guy I usually talk to was not there, he knows most of the parts for the powerstroke. |
