I havnt heard too much good on the edge ev tuner. Theres a good bit of threads on which tuner is best for these trucks and most will tell you to get a SCT with custom tunes. The main reason is because the sct tunes your transmission to go with the tunes where as the other tuners dont and that will shorten the life of your trans.
For starters pick up an Edge insight cts or cs to moniter your trucks vitals, most importantly the engine coolant temp (ect) and engine oil temp (eot). Temperatures greater than 15 degrees need attention asap or more problems will come. Order of upgrades i would recommend: cts or cs, 6.4 fuel banjos, upgraded fuel regulator spring then pick up a sct tuner. Things to consider about owning a 6.0L |

welcome to the site! 06dzl is correct. the edge doesnt tune for the trans and you will tear the truck up sooner esp. if you tow.

I talked with edge today way say that there tuner does have adjust for shift points and shift firmness. I can get one new in the box from a shop a friend works at for dirty cheep. the sct sounds like were it is but i dont want buy that tunner then a edge gauge to monitor. thanks for the help guys

Shift firmness and points are one thing, but true tuning of the pressures and lock up on the trans are something else. A shift kit does basically what the edge does
