Temp Gauge reading 150*... ??
I finally got around to installing my quad gauge pod and have noticed something funny... My temp gauge is showing only about 150-155* max. I should note that there were some gauges mounted in a homemade pod/center console thing in the truck previously. I have since removed them and installed NEW gauges. I am using the same temp sender (screwed into the block) and the temp has shown 150-155* on both gauges... Could this even feasibly be correct? Does it just sound like I've got a bad sending unit? A new one came with the new gauge but to swap 'em I'm gonna lose a fair amount of the ELC I just put in 2 weeks ago!

You could always use a clean bucket to catch your coolant for reuse after the new sending unit is installed.
150 don't sound right, even with a stuck open T-stat you should be above 170 |

Use the sender that came with the gauge...........

I changed out the sending unit today. My coolant at operating temperature seems to be 182-184* at any given time. Sound about right with no load, just cruising?
