MPG's and temps

Took a little trip last weekend, unloaded, just over 300 miles in a day, all interstate minus about 40 miles, cruise set on 75-76mph, filled her up close to the house and hand calculated 16.2mpg ambient temp was 83*-101* per the truck thermometer, ECT= high 209 EOT= high 215 as this was in the heat of the afternoon. I feel pretty good with these numbers and just wanted to share, if you think different please tell me, Thanks! Truck has Superchips tuner on economy, 4" lift w/35's. Nuttin else. P.S. Did I mention that I LOVE my truck??!!!!!!!!!

I think your ECT should be in the 190s or low 200s unless you are towing something..209 seems abit high for what you were doing..

He should have never gotten near 200*. He has a bad thermostat. I just changed mine for the same kind of temps.

My ECT runs close to that under the same conditions, T-stat is brand new. And my delta is higher....

Thanks for the input! I think the t-stat is probably the original one so I will pick one up and get it installed.
