help a deployed soldier out please please please
Ok so here is the situation im curently deployed to afghanistan and have come into possesion of a 2004 f250 not much is known about the truck except for it looks complete when i got it it had no fluids or batteries relays or fuses in the fuse boxs i have filled it with fluids put batteries in it and fuses and relays for the things i thought were important this is kindof a project vehicle in our down time so we dont hqave to walk miles and miles to eat and get to work the issues im having i will try to be as specific as possible
with key in ignition i get no warning buzzers dinggers or anything turning the key on i get the warning lights on the dash and everything seems to comee on as usual except i get no fuel pump noise no clicks no noise at all as i try to start it the odometer goes blank and nothing else happens i need some advice on where to start it seems to me that i am missing a relay or something of that sort but where else are there relays at i can feel some of the relays clicking but never the starter relay #307 i thing the vehicle supposedly used to run and was brought to the scrap yard bc of a slipping trans but im trying to take things one step at a time first i need to get it to crank could it be a bad pcm what relays/fuses do i need where should i be checking for power please i need a direction to go in when i first turned the key there was some smoke from the fuse panel one of the connectors on the computer board had shorted out i repaied this so i dont think it is an issue just trying to be very detailed i have power at the pcm memory fuse and the fuel pump but get no noise when turing the key just one beep and the warning/gauge lights so any help troubleshooting the cranking circuit would be greatly appreciated thank you all so much |

Are you sure BOTH batteries are good? Load tested? CCA?

First off, thank you for what you are doing over there man. Super noble and we all need to say thanks!
For the truck, since everything was removed, im sure it is something silly that is easily over looked. By any chance, did they remove a netral safty switch? |

I think the neutral safety switch internal to the trans.

Is the PCM missing? Have you checked?

ok first thank yall for your kind words now the update i got it to crank new starter and starter relay #307 still no noise on key up no clicks or hums i took the cover off the fuel pump relay and if i manually push it the pump comes on but nothing else no clicks or hums now with the pcm and ficm im not exactally sure where they are on the truck there is a computer gadget on the drivers sid fenderwell by the batter and on on the passenger side valve cover its late here so if im being repetitive i apologize to recap truck cranks, the batteries are weak, no fuel pump noise unless i manually activate the relay and no clicks from whaterver the heck it is thats supposed to be clicking what fuses/relays do i need i know that there is a 30amp circuit breaker that i put a large blade type maxi fuse in and i think i got all the right fuses in there so whats the next step now that it cranks i need my clicks and hums so this stupid thing will start thanks again

Your PCM is right behind the E-Brake release, it is a grey metal box inside a black plastic housing.
