So now that I've have the time to play with my Scan GuageII and do some data logging for future trouble shooting, I have a question? I have recorded the values for IPR vs ICP now and every thing seam fine. In the future if i notice that I need more IPR percentage to get the same ICP does that mean I have a high Pressure oil leak deveploing? What else can I infer from the relationship between the two? So that I have a standard model I have taken these mesurements at idle and high idle with a cold engine and with the engine and oil up to 190 deg. Sugestions for other data to log now that might be helpful later down the road when I need to do some trouble shooting?

I think normally idle ICP about 700ICP and IPR should be about 30%. Normally wide open I see 70% IPR and about 4000 psi ICP. If IPR has to keep creeping up to keep ICP what it needs that might be a sign if high pressure oil leak. Dummy plugs maybe standpipes
This is what I was wondering about. I was trying to provoke some discussion on this topic. It would be good if you could record some data point about your truck so that if there was a problem creeping up it would be easier to trouble shoot. We now have access to a wealth of data it would be great if there was some more discussion on how to put that to work. IF I know what "normal" is then I can spot a problem sooner when it might cost less in dollars and frustration to fix.
