FS-2500 and oil filtration in general

Anyone using the FS-2500 oil filtration kit. FS-2500 :: Bypass Oil Filter System It looks pretty sweet, is a local company here in Kansas City and am thinking about adding it my truck. What other filtration kits are out there and pros/cons of using a kit in general.

IMO...oil gets sheared in a 7.3 and faster in a 6.0..and should be changed 3-4K miles..so as far as I can see their isn't a reason to use one.

Oil shears bad in the 6.0 but using a good synthetic and about a 6k interval works pretty well based on oil analysis reports. The FS-2500 is a great oil bypass filter and will filter the oil down to 1 micron or less. The oem filter is a 20 micron unit. As sensitive as the injectors are in a 6.0 keeping the oil clean is essential. Frequent oil changes are still a must and a bypass oil filter will not allow you to run extended oil change intervals but is a good investment anyway. I run a Gulf Coast bypass. The Amsoil bypass filters are good and there are a number of solutions based on their filter and other components. NUC Motorsports makes a nice complete kit.
