Door Pad Code Question?

My buddy just bought a used 2004 F250 Lariat 6.0L CC and it has the door pad on the driver's side door. However, the place he bought it from did not know the code to get in and the card in the owners manual is missing. Is there another way to figure out the code for his truck or will he have to take it to the dealer to find out? All of our Lincolns have always had a sticker on the hinge of the trunk lid with the code on it for reference, but I didn't know if our trucks had one like that somewhere that I wasn't aware of. Does anyone know anything about this???

It is printed on the gem module. A big, white sticker with a 5 digit code. To see it, you should pull the ashtray and cupholder-look at the firewall with a flashlight. You may have to move some white insulation out of the way, but it is there. On the 05-07 trucks, it helps to remove the radio!

Very good! We'll give that a shot. Would it be any easier to just pull the radio out and look that way on this 04?

You can, but it's not really necessary on the '04s.

Just get a small mirror, a flashlight, and a contortionist.

Thanks gents! Sounds simple enough. We'll try and take a look into it later on when we shut down the combines-- and when it's not 107 degrees outside!

It should be a 5 digit code. Once you have it, you can make your own custom code to set. Least that's how every Ford vehicle I've ever owned with the keypad has been.

If you punch in the code wrong a few too many times it will lock up and all the buttons faintly flash on and off. Try it again after few minutes.

SCT, no studs...yet, Dual OEM intake air filter housings, Banks intercooler & intake elbow, Banks exhaust system, Windrunner ported intake manifold, Bullet Proof Diesel remote oil cooler & thermostat, AirDog2 (plus a couple spares), Power steering filter (Amsoil dual-bypass), MagTec deep ATF pan, Electric oil pre-lub pump, Dakota Digital gauges.
