Help middle of egt probe install
Well finally got the nerve to drill a hole in my exhaust manifold.
Problem my tap handle is to big to turn. Did you guys just turn remove adjust turn with big handles or get a tap chuck or extension? Just looking for the best way or tool. I want this done right the first time. |

If you have a 12pt socket that will fit whatever size square head the tap is, so you can use a ratchet.

Yes but just seemed loose.

I just did mine like 2 weeks ago. I just used a small wrench (like a 5/16 or something). The metal isn't that hard....tapped fairly easy for me compared to what I was expecting.

Good excuse to go get some new tools. Lol the wife freaked out when I showed her the hole in the exhaust. She said you purposely did that. Hilarious moment

I just used a small adjustable wrench... worked fine until I dropped the bit into the valley.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but do you have a guide to install the egt sensor ? I just received mine, but I'm unsure of how to install it or which side.
