started the head gasket job tonight
Started the head gasket job tonight, 3 hours in and im ready to lift off one head, not as hard of a job as i thought was gonna be.........so far......

Heads are off and dont look too good, off to the machine shop tomorrow. gaskets were blown on all cylenders but 2.

You doing it with the cab on or off? Run into any troubles or special tools needed that is different than others have posted? Getting ready for this in the Ex soon.

Cab on , took the inner fenders out, no special tools needed , had to use the old hammer to put a little dent in the fire wall ( witch is way thinner than i thought it would be) about 1 inch deep to get the back bolt out on the drivers side. managed to get the passengers head off with out taking the heater box off the fire wall, but took it off for installing the head because it made it reatty hard to get the head out. taking the whole heater box off is way easyer than i looks, i think it was only 5 nuts from the inside. just waiting for my heads to get dont and my injectors from warrens diesel.
