Noisy Lifter

So i've had my truck for about 3 weeks now and i have been dealing with this starting when cold issue. Took it to autozone today and load tested the batteries and they are good. While i was there im starting to hear this tapping sound coming from the right side of the engine, sounds like its under the injector. This is definatley a lifter issue. Im wondering if maybe i have trash in the lifters or something. We dont abuse the truck at all, but i have been known to open it up a time or too. Im wondering if these are self adjusting lifters and if there is trash in there, how do i get it out ?

If you are have cold start problems most of the time it is the FICM this tell the injectors what they need to know cost of $300 to $1100 and new batteries about $220, so what year truck plus i would change the batteries Ford 100 month here
